Health Plan Reimbursement Made Easy!

Waterdance Electrolysis is out-of-network with all health insurance plans; however, you may still be eligible for benefits to help cover the cost of your sessions.* Medically necessary hair removal is covered by many insurance plans. If you have been diagnosed with any of the conditions below (not a complete list) you may be eligible:Gender identity disorder (F64.9)
Androgen excess (E28.1)
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (E28.2)
Primary ovarian failure (E28.3)
Ovarian dysfunction (E28.8,9)
Diabetes mellitus (E11,14)
Metabolic disorders (E70-90)
Hirsutism (L68.0)
Hypertrichosis (L68.1,2,8,9)
Polytrichia (L68.3)
Menopausal and other perimenopausal disorders (N95)
In general, as long as hair removal is needed to restore to normal condition, rather than remodel for cosmetic purposes, then the electrolysis hair removal procedure should be covered. If you have already been diagnosed with an underlying medical condition known to cause abnormal hair growth, then electrolysis hair removal is medically necessary to restore to normal condition. Excepting a few health plans, it is your contractual right to request your doctor to issue a referral for electrolysis hair removal. Further, you should expect timely reimbursement of your properly documented out-of-network claims.

Reminbursify

Waterdance Electrolysis has partnered with Reimbursify for you to easily submit your claims for out-of-network health insurance reimbursement. Download the app here and get your first five claims free. The app allows you to file a claim within minutes! After the free claims, Reimbursify charges $2.99 per claim; however, Waterdance Electrolysis will credit you $2.00 for each claim you paid (while offered). You provide to Waterdance Electrolysis your doctor's NPI number or contact info and the ICD-10 diagnosis code, and we'll provide a Statement for Insurance Reimbursement (or Superbill) that you submit with each claim. You type what is needed into the Reimbursify app, upload the Superbill, then wait from 2 to 4 weeks for the reimbursement to be processed.*Most private health insurance plans provide some level of out-of-network reimbursement. If you see the terms “POS”, “PPO” or “out-of-network” on your insurance card then you are likely eligible. If you see “HMO”, “Medicare” or “Medicaid” then you are probably not eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. Check with your insurance company to be sure.
